Gonorrhoea is a bacterial, sexually transmitted infection that can affect the genitals, rectum and throat. It is most frequently found in young people under the age of 25, and affects both men and women.


The average time period before developing symptoms is 5 days, but it can vary between 2 days and 3 weeks after having sex. Women will not get any symptoms at all, and if they do, they may easily be mistaken for a bladder infection. For women, symptoms may include pain or a burning sensation when urinating, bleeding between periods, a change in your usual vaginal discharge (in most cases you have more discharge), an anal itch, discharge or discomfort.

mycoplasma genitalum


Mycoplasma genitalium (Mgen) is a bacteria that can be transmitted by sexual intercourse . It can affect both men and women, although the clinical relevance of the presence of this bacterium in women is not always clear.


It is possible for a man or a woman to have Mgen and not experience any symptoms at all. Many of the symptoms below can be caused by other infections. trichomonas vaginalis



Trichomonas vaginalis (trich) is a parasite that is sexually transmittable and causes trichomoniasis.

It mostly affects women, and is more common in older women than in younger ones. However, both men and woman can get infected.


Many women with Trich may not experience any symptoms, and most men will not. Overall, about 70% of those infected do not experience any symptoms, and those who do may not experience them for a month or more after infection. Asymptomatic carriership is seen frequently and can persist for years. For women symptoms may include typically yellow/ greenish vaginal discharge with bubbles, that has a foul, fishy smell, itching, burning, redness or soreness
